Event details

Green Science Festival is a one-day festival where science, sustainability, and innovation come together. The event brings researchers, professionals, students, and changemakers into one shared space to exchange ideas, research, and practical insights that contribute to a more sustainable future.

On 28 May 2026, the festival offers a diverse program of talks, presentations, and discussions, highlighting both scientific research and real-world applications. From emerging technologies and environmental sciences to social innovation and policy, the Green Science Festival creates room for cross-disciplinary perspectives and collaboration.

Online and satellite locations

Besides attending the festival in person in Amsterdam, you can also experience the event through our high-quality online broadcast. Several communities will host satellite locations where you can watch the event together on a big screen. Check our satellite locations to see if there’s one near you!

Before booking a flight to Amsterdam, we encourage you to consider joining online instead. It saves travel time and reduces emissions — and we promise it’s just as much fun!

If you plan to follow the festival online, don’t forget to register in advance to secure your access.

Submit your initiative!

Would you like to shine a spotlight on your work? Whether you’ve published a scientific paper, launched a project group, developed a sustainable product, or built a consortium others can join — we are looking for you!

All initiatives will be featured in our program book and showcased on the Initiative Wall, where all festival visitors can discover your work and results.

Submit your idea through the Call for Initiatives to gain visibility within our international network — and get the chance to win a spotlight pitch at the Festival in the Netherlands or at an upcoming Green Labs online community event.
